Welcome! I am a doctor working in rural general practice in New Zealand. My passion in the area of individualized preventive health care began when I started to read more widely in the literature. I began to realize that there was a gap in medical care. We were caring ( often flat out and into the small hours of the night!) for the sick and symptomatic. However there was a lot of research suggesting that there were ways to stop people getting to that point! I am excited about the information that can be found in the research. Millions of women wonder "what else can I do?" but find this information so hard to find. This blog aims to give you some of that information and to become a community, connecting woman who are looking to make a change for the better in our high breast cancer rates.
My post graduate training includes qualifications in sports and musculoskeletal medicine, family planning and community pediatrics along with obstetrics and nutritional and environmental medicine.
I am a fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.
